About
Wheatgrass
Wheatgrass is used to help
the body heal itself in cases of disease,
injury, toxification, etc. Some animals
are observed to eat grasses when injured
or ill, but not when in good health.
Likewise, it is not natural for people to
rely on wheatgrass juice for nutrition
when healthy. However, wheatgrass has many
uses. Besides ingesting the juice, it can
be applied in poultices to injuries, or
cosmetically to tighten skin, or add
luster to hair. It is also used in
conjunction with colon cleansing. The
grass itself can be chewed rather than
juiced, and trays of wheatgrass can be
placed strategically to freshen the air in
any room.
Wheatgrass juices is an
excellent healer because it acts to
produce an unfavorable environment for
bacterial growth. The main ingredient is
the "crude" chlorophyll. It also contains
over 100 elements including vitamins A, B,
C, E and K.
A few of the minerals it
contains are: Calcium, Magnesium, Iron,
Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Sulphur,
Cobalt, Zinc, etc.
